Although acupuncture does not ‘treat’ any specific disease in the Western sense, it supports the body’s healing process, no matter what disease, symptom, or condition a person may have. Many people are able to return to normal daily functioning after they have acupuncture.
Q: What is Acupuncture?

A: Classical Acupuncture is the insertion of fine needles at specific locations along energy meridians that exist in the human body. Treatment to acupuncture points has proven effective in stimulating tissue regeneration and functional healing. Acupuncture can be used to address many specific health concerns. Treatment points were discovered in China 2,000 years ago.

Contemporary Acupuncture is also amazing! Frequency specific treatments, using microcurrent, light, color and sound can be just as powerful as traditional acupuncture…except NO Needles! Great for kids!

Q: How does acupuncture work?

A: Acupuncture corrects unhealthy, (Qi) flow in the meridians. This unhealthy flow may have been caused by injury, disease, unhealthy lifestyle, physical toxins, or toxic emotional states. When Qi is moving freely it circulates through the tissues and organs, thus promoting the healing process.

Both Qi and blood flow through the acupuncture meridians. An acupuncture Practitioner is trained to direct Qi flow toward areas that are deficient, and direct the Qi away from places that are congested. Acupuncture promotes health by restoring harmony and balance in the body, mind and spirit. It is beneficial to have acupuncture to restore Qi flow, before organ and tissue deterioration result from long term stagnation.

Contemporary Acupuncture transmits organized energy patterns which the patient may ‘absorb.’ Since the body’s original energy has been scrambled, (entropic) due to the injury, disease or other stressors, it welcomes treatment that is health promoting, (neg-entropic).
Organized energy patterns may be administered through mathematical configurations that are projected by light, sound, color, and other frequencies and harmonics.

Q: What is my treatment plan?

A: Your practitioner will evaluate your health concerns and compose a plan of treatment based on the following factors:

• A very specifically designed health questionnaire
• Ongoing discussion with you
• Palpation of meridians, acupuncture points, and reflex areas
• Applied Kinesiology
• Wholistic lab tests
• 28 years of clinical experience

Q: What types of conditions does acupuncture treat?

A: It is important to remember that Acupuncture Practitioners treat the Whole Person, not just the symptoms. This is the key to our success. Our patients have had great success and improvement in conditions that have not responded to prior conventional western treatment. They come with a variety of health concerns such as:

• Immune disorders
• Irritable Bowel
• Skin Problems
• Back Pain
• Fibromyalgia
• Allergies
• Headaches
• Fatigue
• Joint Pain
• Stress
• Gynecological Issues
• Arthritis
• Sinus
• Chakra Balancing Healing

Q: How deep do the needles go?

A.: Most points are treated very superficially. An area such as the Gluteus muscle would require more depth of insertion. Treatment without needles is always an option for those who feel afraid.

Q: Does treatment hurt?

A: Most often patients enjoy a calming restful feeling as energy loops through its invisible pathways and sends healing messages to the organs and tissues. When an acupuncture needle is first inserted, the practitioner, may work with the energy, to either ‘disperse’ or ‘attract.’ You will feel the ‘working,’ possibly as tingling, distension, heaviness, contraction, or an electric sensation that can travel through the meridian. These responses only last a second.

Q: What are the different styles of Acupuncture?

A: Practitioners are able to drawn from many different techniques and styles that reflect the particular preferences and discoveries of their country of origin. We generally treat the whole body, including ear points, hand points, and scalp points. Often our treatments are performed without needles. When needle treatment is selected, we prefer a very gentle Japanese Style treatment using very fine gauge needles.

Q: How do I choose an Acupuncture Practitioner?

A: It is best to find a practitioner who has extensive training and many years of experience.
Both David and Susi are licensed as Acupuncture Physicians in the state of Florida. In Wisconsin, they are Certified Acupuncturists, and they are nationally certified as well. They both have studied Chinese Herbal Medicine in Shanghi, China. They have received advanced training which includes, Japanese Acupuncture, German Biological Medicine, energetic homeopathy and, dark field microscopy, and functional lab testing for wholistic practitioners.

Q: How many treatments will I need?

A: Acute conditions generally respond quickly to acupuncture treatment. Chronic long term problems may require more treatment as they the condition may be layered with complexities.

Q: What should I wear when I have Acupuncture treatment?

A: Please wear warm, loose clothing, and avoid pantyhose. Tee shirts, sweatpants, and flannel pajama pants are just great! We especially like your belly area to be readily available, so you can enjoy treatment with a warm mineral lamp!

We appreciate good hygiene. It is best to bathe or shower before you come for treatment. Please, No Perfume!

Q: What should I do during treatment?

A: Simply relax! Many people fall asleep during treatment. We ask that you remain still for about 20 -25 minutes. Your practitioner will check to make sure that you are comfortable.

Q: How will I feel after treatment?

A: Most people feel extremely relaxed and peaceful!
